T89-F-L

The Type 89 is an Assault Rifle manufactured by Howa that chambers the 5.56x45mm NATO round. The weapon is known as Buddy by the JGSDF (Japan Ground Self-Defense Service). The Type 89-F is a variant of the Type 89 with a folding stock rather than the fixed stock, which is what the original Type 89 had.[1]

The Type 89-F is categorized as an assault rifle in the Rainbow Six universe. The Type 89-F appears in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (Operation Red Crow).

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven ShieldEdit

The Type 89F is a weapon featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

With a folding stock and the lethal 5.56mm round, the Type 89F is more than capable of being used in CQB environments as well as the open battlefield.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six SiegeEdit

"Classic assault rifle with medium stopping power."
— In-game description

The Type-89 is an assault rifle featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It was introduced in the Operation Red Crow expansion pack and is available for use by the Operator Hibana.

CharacteristicsEdit

The Type-89 has a decent fire rate and damage model which is hindered by its rather small magazine size for an assault rifle with its fire rate. That being said, the weapon is quick enough to kill targets in a 1v1 situation, but not necessarily recommended for sustained fire.
