The SIG P226 is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by SIG Sauer that chambers the 9×19m Parabellum round. Its design is based off of the P220, but the P226 has double-stacked magazines rather than the earlier single-stack magazines that the P220 had.Along with the P226, there is another variant of the weapon that has appeared in the Rainbow Six universe. This variant is called the P226 Mk 25.
The P226 is categorized as a handgun in the Rainbow Six universe. The P226 Mk 25 only appears in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, while the P226 was a weapon that was cut from the final product of both Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 and 2Edit
The P226 is a weapon that was supposed to be featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 but was later cut from the final product. This weapon was found among the files of the PC versions of both games.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six SiegeEdit
- "SAS 9mm handgun. Short to medium range, low stopping power, with a large magazine."
— In-game description
There are two Situations where the player wields a P226 Mk 25. The CQC Basics Situation has the character play as an SAS Recruit equipped with an L85A2 and a P226 Mk 25 as a sidearm. The Heavily Fortified Situation has them play as Thatcher equipped with an AR33 and a P226 Mk 25.
This handgun is a decent, all-round secondary weapon. The P226 Mk 25 can quickly kill an enemy in a few carefully aimed shots.

- The in-game designation of "P226 Mk 25" is technically inaccurate, both in usage and in spelling. Mk 25 refers to the U.S. Navy SEALs' designation of the P226 variant depicted in-game, where it would labeled as MK25; the SAS would instead refer to this version of the weapon as the L105A2.
