- "Submachine gun in a compact AR package and caliber. Offers medium-range accuracy."
— In-game description
The K1A is an improved version of the original K1 carbine. It was equipped with a different flash suppressor, which has three holes in the top right quadrant to limit muzzle flip under rapid fire and reduces flash to one-third of the original's flash.
In-game, the K1A is capable of taking down Light Armored Operators in three body shots in a quarter of a second of its effective range. However, it will take an additional body shot to take down the other two Armor Types. When equipped with a Suppressor, the K1A will take down Light and Medium Armored Operators in four body shots, while the Heavy Armored Operators take five instead.
- Since the K1A fires in an intermediate cartridge, it should technically not be classified as a submachine gun, but rather a carbine. However, this isn't completely erroneous, as the South Korean military classifies the weapon as a submachine gun.
